God's Operation Of Healing

One thing about receiving your healing from God is knowing how he operates, because when you know how he operates then you can cooperate with him.  And in 1Corinthians 1:28 it tells you, God has chosen things which are not, to bring to nought(nothing) things that are.  When it says things that are not it is not talking about things that don't exist, it's talking about things that are not manifested because if it didn't exist you couldn't call it a thing.  So, God has chosen things that are not manifested (spiritual) to bring to nothing things that are manifested (physical).  God operates at a level that is not detectable by the senses that's why you have to walk by faith and not by sight (senses).  And if you don't know that then you could spend your time waiting on God to do something that's already done.

Notice, in Genesis 17:4,5 it says, 4 As for me, behold, my covenant is with thee, and thou shalt be a father of many nations.  5 Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee.  And in verse 15 it says, 15 And God said unto Abraham, As for Sarai thy wife, thou shalt not call her name Sarai, but Sarah shall her name be.  Abraham means father of a multitude and Sarah means Princess of nations.  Notice, in verse 5 God told Abraham, "For a father of many nations have I made thee."   Now, God told him that while his body was dead and his wife's womb was dead (Romans 4:19).  So, he was not that physically, but he was that in the spirit.  Don't think of the spiritual as not real or less real.  John 4:24  says, God is a spirit and yet God that is a spirit was manifest in the flesh (1Timothy 3:16).  Is God any less real as spirit as when he was manifested. That which is spiritual can be manifested physically by a release of faith.  And the main way you release your faith is by your words.

How was God manifested in the flesh, Isaiah spoke the word God gave him, "Behold, a virgin shall conceive and bear a son."  Now, we know it takes something from a man and a woman to have a child.  Once God spoke that it was done in the spirit.  And in Luke 1 the angel brought that same word to Mary, "Behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son" and Mary said, "Be it unto me according to thy word."  She spoke what she believed, she released her faith for in verse 45 her cousin Elizabeth said, "And blessed is she that believed:  for there shall be a performance of those things that were told her from the Lord."  And notice, in John 1:14 the scripture calls Jesus the word (spiritual) made flesh (physical).

So, when God said, "For a father of many nations have I made thee" that was spiritual and it was up to them to receive that by faith.  Notice, in Romans 4:20 it says that Abraham was strong in faith and Hebrews 11:11 says, that through faith Sara received strength to conceive seed.  Everytime they heard or spoke their names they just didn't hear their names, but also the promise God made them.  That was the purpose of changing their names to get them hearing and speaking in line with the promise.  But, notice God chose what was not manifested(for a father of many nations have I made thee) to bring to nothing what was manifested (Abraham considered not the deadness of his body nor the deadness of Sarah's womb) Romans 4:19.

Another way God operates is in Romans 4:17, it says God calls things that be not (manifested) as though they were (manifested).  Isn't that what he told Abraham and Sarah to do.  Notice, God's method of operating is to speak it before you see it.  But, the average person wants to see it and then speak it.  Understand God's method, the word calleth is translated to incite by word.  The word incite means to cause to act or occur.  So when you call things that be not as though they were you cause them to occur, you cause them to happen.  So, if you don't want to speak things before you see them you may never see them.  How was God manifested in the flesh, words.  He was spoken of first before he was manifested.  So, when God says 1Peter 2:24, "By whose stripes you were healed" that's how it is in the spirit and you are going to have to speak that even when your body may be totally contrary.  In James 3 it says 2 For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body.  3 Behold, we put bits in the horses' mouths, that they may obey us; and we turn about their whole body.  4 Behold also the ships, which though they be so great, and are driven of fierce winds, yet are they turned about with a very small helm, whithersoever the governor listeth.

Your words are very important in receiving healing.  Notice, the connection God makes with the tongue and the body that you bridle your body by controlling your tongue.  Notice, you control the horse's body by it's tongue.  Understand what he is saying in verse 4, the ship is your body, you are the governor (spirit man), and your tongue is the helm it's what controls the ship.  Did you notice even though something is coming against the ship it goes where the governor directs.  Your words are so important that Proverbs talks about your words being health(medicine, healing, remedy, cure) to your flesh.  But, they will only be health to your flesh when they are in line with God's words.  That's why in Hebrews 10:23 it says to hold fast to your confession of faith.  Confession means to say the same thing, so a confession of faith will always be in line with God's word.  Because your faith should always be based of the word of God and not conditions or circumstances.  So, your words are very important, use them wisely.

Medicine Is In Your Mouth

One of the most important things people overlook in dealing with sickness is what they speak out of their mouth.  You can't just speak anything because your words have an effect on your body.  In the book of James he says, if you offend not in word, you are able to bridle your whole body.  He also goes on to say your tongue is like the rudder of a ship, so if you want to go from sickness to healing then you are going to have to set your tongue to healing and not sickness.  In 1Peter 3:10 he says, if you want to see good keep your tongue from evil.  That's a principle so you could also say, if you want to see healing keep your tongue from sickness.  And the best way to do that is to put God's word in your mouth concerning your healing.  Because Proverbs 4:22 says, God's word is health(medicine) to all your flesh. God's word in your mouth is medicine to all your flesh.
Now somebody might be saying prove that with the word, remember Abraham and his wife Sarah the scripture says, he was old and his body was dead(not functioning in a manner to have a son) and his wife Sarah was barren, but God said they would have a son together and that Abraham's seed would be as numerous as the stars in the sky.  How did God change their bodies to carry out what He spoke, He changed their names.  He gave them something to say that was in line with what He spoke.  Abraham means-Father of a multitude and Sarah means-Princess of the multitude.  Notice what Psalm 103:5 says, He satisfies your mouth with good things; so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's.  Notice that scripture doesn't say He satisfies you.  He gives you something to say to change your body.
Somebody may be saying, yes, but I need a miracle, well in Luke 1 the angel came to Mary, a virgin, and told her she was going to have a son and they talked for a little while, but notice that angel didn't depart until Mary spoke in line with what he said, "Be it unto me according to thy word". It wasn't until Mary spoke that the miracle took place.  Now, you can't deny that the word has a lot to say about your words having an effect on your body.  Especially God's word and some say they don't believe in speaking God's word when the Bible says, it is powerful and has the power to save.  That word save in the greek also means heal.  That's why the word is medicine, because there's healing power in the word of God.  So, I encourage you to see what the word has to say about your healing like-"By whose stripes ye were healed" 1Peter 2:24, or "Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law" Galatians 3:13, or Himself took my infirmities and bore my sicknesses (you have to make it personal).  And put your hope and faith in what  God says and don't give up it is going to take time.  But, you have to start somewhere.

Put The Word On It

Sometimes as you go through life you find yourself in times of trouble and you try everything you know to do, but let me make a suggestion, put the word on it.  In Romans 10:6-8 Paul says, "But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from above:) Or, Who shall descend into the deep? (that is to bring up Christ again from the dead.)  But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is the word of faith which we preach." In other words you don't have to call Jesus back from the dead, but put the word on it.  Put the word on that sickness and the word will do the job. In Proverbs 4:20-22 the scripture says to attend to his word, keep it in your eyes and ears, and keep it in the midst of your heart for it is life to those that find them and health to all their flesh.  The word of God has power in it and when you put it in your heart(spirit) it releases the power that's in it.  Like, for example when you feed your body, when the food enters into you the vitamins are extracted and distributed throughout your body.  Well, when you feed your spirit the same things happens, the word of God is anointed and when it enters your spirit the anointing is released into your body.  And the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing (Isaiah 10:27).
Put the word on your problem.  In Proverbs 12:6 it says, "The mouth of the upright will deliver them."  Your mouth will deliver you if the word of God is in it.  It's the word of God that will accomplish (Isaiah 55:11).  In time of depression put the word on it for "A man hath joy by the answer of his mouth" (Proverbs 15:23).  In times of worry put the word on it for "Whoso keepeth his mouth and his tongue keepeth his soul from troubles" (Proverbs 21:23).  As you can see the word will not only effect your circumstances, but it will effect you mentally, physically, and spiritually. If you want your situation to turn for the better you are going to have to put the right words in your mouth.  In James 3:4,5 he compares your tongue to the rudder of a ship, if you want to change where you are heading then you have to turn the rudder and if you want to change that situation you are going to have to put the right words in your mouth.  God's word is quick(alive) and powerful (Hebrews 4:12).  No matter how fierce the storms of life may be the word of God in your mouth spoken out of a heart of belief will change it (Mark 11:23).

The Rod Is In Your Mouth

God gave Moses an instrument through which He would do great signs and wonders, a rod.  It was God's will to deliver the children of Isreal and his pleasure to show his power on their behalf.  And it's his pleasure to show his power on your behalf.  With the rod in Moses hand God demonstrated his power to bring his will to pass.  But, notice Moses always said what would be done first.  He would speak first then God would demonstrate his power.  So, Moses words was an important role in seeing God's power manifested.  And your words are important in seeing God's power manifested.  I believe God is taking us to where we see his power manifested as we speak in line with his will.  Notice the first time the people cried to Moses for water in Exodus 17 God told him to smite the rock with his rod and it would give forth water.  But, in Numbers 20 when the people cried for water God told Moses to speak to the rock and it would give forth water.  God was teaching them to use their words.  In Exodus 17:11,12 when the children of Isreal was in battle and Moses held up the rod the children of Isreal prevailed and when his hand was lowered the enemy would prevail, so they held Moses arms up so that they would prevail.  And yet, in Joshua 10 when the children of Isreal were in battle for them to prevail Joshua spoke.  He commanded the sun and moon to be still and they obeyed.  God demonstrated his power as Joshua spoke for God's will to be done.
Notice God is taking man from a rod in the hand to a rod in the mouth.  In Isaiah 11:1 "And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse." And what rod is that, Jesus(the word made flesh).  And what is he going to do, "And he shall smite the earth with the rod of his mouth."  Notice the rod is no longer in the hand, but it's in the mouth.  When Jesus came notice what he said in John 14:10, he spoke the words of his father and the father in him did the work.  Notice he spoke the words and the father in him did the work.  He spoke the words for people to be healed and the father did the works.  He spoke for demons to be casted out of people and the father did the work.  He called for the storm to cease and the father did the work.  He spoke and the father did the work.  His mouth was the instrument through which God demonstrated his power.
Somebody might say well that was Jesus, but look at Acts 3 where there was a lame man at the gate of the temple.  He asked Peter and John for alms(money) and notice what Peter did. He said, "Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee:  In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk."  And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up, and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength.  And he leaped up and walked into the temple praising God.  And notice Peter's answer to the people, "The God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers hath glorified his son Jesus." Notice God demonstrated his power because Peter used his mouth(rod) for God's will to be done.  Well, didn't Jesus tell them in Matthew 10:8 to heal the sick, to cleanse the lepers, to cast out demons, and to raise the dead.  How were they going to do those things?  The same way he did them, by the rod in his mouth, with their words.  They were to speak and God would do the work.  They would call for the will of God to be done and He would use his power.  What are you going through right now, use your rod and watch God demonstrate his power.
